DIN 5683 1 Standard Dimensions for Round steel link chains, Grade 4

This standard covers the steel chains round section, grade 4, with a division of t = 9 x d and outside width of b = 5.5 x d. The standard defines the measures and mechanical characteristics (see Annex A). The chains according to this part of DIN 5683 are used along with other details according to DIN 5683-2 as anchor chains for maritime signals. The chains according to this part of DIN 5683 must not be used as lifting tools, the support or suspension according to DIN 15003.
