Esta norma é a versão oficial da norma europeia EN 1677-2:2000 + A1 (edição de Abril de 2008). A norma especifica os requisitos gerais para ganchos de elevação em aço forjado de grau 8 com dispositivo de fecho com olhal ou garfo e pino de engate até uma carga máxima de trabalho (CLT) de 63 t.
