Estas anilhas destinam-se ao uso geral, mecânico e estrutural com parafusos, porcas, cavilhas e outros fixadores com rosca interior e exterior. Estas anilhas são adequadas para utilização com fixadores abrangidos pelas Especificações A325, A449 e 4490. Os estilos de anilhas abrangidas são: Circulares: anilhas com tamanhos nominais de parafusos de 1/4 a 4 pol., adequadas para aplicações onde existe espaço suficiente e a angularidade o permite. Clipadas: estas anilhas são circulares ou biseladas para utilização onde as limitações de espaço exigem que um dos lados seja clipado. Extra grossas: estas anilhas são circulares com tamanhos nominais de 1/2 a 1-1/2 pol., com uma espessura nominal de 5/16 pol., adequadas para aplicações estruturais com furos de grandes dimensões.
