Paolo Astori operates on the aeronautical market since 1942, producing self-locking and anchor nuts by the system Frendado.The know-how gained in this long period, the continuous research on new materials and the adoption of the most advanced technologies in production processes allow us to operate according to the most demanding aerospace standards and to any special standard of our Customers.Our Company is certified according to UNI-EN-ISO9002 and qualified at level AQAP4 of NATO normalisation.

Moreover, our quality system is certified and approved by the most important european manufacturers.

Our Control system allows the full production traceability from the very beginning - raw material purchase - throughout the final tests.

Control and measurement instrumentations are periodically checked by approved laboratories as well as our special processes that are qualified by the main Italian Aeronautical Industries.

Materials used for manufacturing allow for high tensile strength and fatigue limit, high temperature and corrosion resistance. Feather-weight nuts are obtained using titanium and aluminium alloys. All special processes are carried out in our plant, using qualified materials and operators.

The main processes are:

heat treatments : annealing, hardening and tempering of steel (in salt baths).

precipitation hardening of PH steels and nickel alloys (in controlled atmosphere furnaces).

protective treatments: cadmium,nickel,copper and silver plating, anodic oxidation.

surface treatments: cetyl-alcohol and MoS2 lubrication, aluminum coating.

non destructive tests: penetrant liquids, magnetic particles inspection.

All the above treatments are also made on Customers demand and properly certified by our Company.

Our Company is also able to manufacture according to Customers drawings and offer complete solutions to any fastening problem.
