With the implementation of the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), carbon compliance has become increasingly important for companies exporting to the EU. To meet EU requirements, reduce trade barriers and strengthen its European market position, Haina Fasteners has proactively advanced its CBAM compliance programme.

The company has appointed BV Bureau Veritas to conduct preliminary CBAM carbon emissions data collection, accounting and verification. Standardised carbon data procedures have been established across the production process to ensure data is accurate, traceable and aligned with EU declaration requirements.

As part of its compliance plan, Haina Fasteners will appoint SGS to conduct professional CBAM audits in the first quarter of 2027. Following completion of the verification process, the company expects to obtain its CBAM compliance certificate within the same period.

This certification will support EU market access and provide customers with greater confidence in Haina Fasteners’ compliant and transparent supply chain.
