SOM Fastener was founded in 1983 in line with the requirements of automotive sector as a single welding nut producer in Turkey. To compete throughout the world market it become the partner of foreign professional fasteners in 1996 and it has continued its facilities at its modern foundation where placed in 1.Industrial Zone of Ankara by 1997 .

Today our standard and special products ranging from M 3 to M18 , including welding nuts and cold forming components Ø 30 mm max. with length 60,0 mm . Whereas it has started serving to only automotive sector during its first years , it has enhanced serving area to electric electronic , electrical home appliances , furniture , building ,tools, pen sectors . In 2002 the production capacity increased to annually 1500 tons/year and by increasing the capacity to annually 3000 tons/year in 2005 after necessary investments, it has possessed to be the sector leader in Turkey. Nowadays , 30 % of its products are being exported mainly to European countries .
