Die Kondensatoren werden an einer voreingestellten Spannung gelanden, dem zu verschweißenden Durchmesser entsprechend. Der Bolzenzapfen wird mit dem Blech in Kontakt gebracht.

The capacitors are charged to a pre-set voltage to suit the diameter to be welded. The stud pip is placed into contact with the sheet.  I condensatori sono caricati ad una tensione pre-impostata in funzione del diametro da saldare. Il codolo del perno viene posto a contatto con la lamiera.

Nach dem Auslösen wird die gespeicherte Energie als Hochstromimpuls entlassen, womit der Zapfen geschmolzen wird und sich ein Bogen bildet.

Upon triggering, the stored energy is discharged as a high current pulse, melting the pip and producing an arc.  Dopo l'innesco, l'energia accumulata viene scaricata come un elevato impulso di corrente, sciogliendo il codolo e producendo un arco.

Die auf dem Bolzen ausgeübte Kraft verursacht teilweise die Schmiedung des Bundes mit der geschmolzenen Oberfläche des Bleches, womit sich eine komplette Fusion ergibt.

Return spring pressure forges the stud into the molten surface area on the sheet to give complete fusion across the flange. La pressione esercitata sul perno causa la fusione parziale della flangia con la superficie fusa della lamiera  e ne completa l'unione.

Durch die Auslösung wird ein Pilotbogen verursacht und der Bolzen  erhebt sich zur festegesetzten Höhe.

Upon triggering, a pilot arc occurs as the stud lifts to a pre-set height. Dopo l'innesco, si verifica un arco pilota ed il perno si solleva ad un'altezza prefissata.

Der Hauptbogen schmilzt die Schweißspitze des Bolzens und verursacht ein Schmelzbad in der Platte.

 

The main arc then melts the weld end of the stud and creates a molten pool in the plate L'arco principale scioglie la punta a saldare del perno  e crea un bagno fuso nella piastra.

Die auf dem Bolzen ausgeübte Federkraft verursacht das Schmelzen der Spitze in das Schmelzbad. Die Hülse enthält das geschmolzene Metall und formt daraus das Gewinde.
