ALLEVARD REJNA Autosuspensions grew out of the merger, at the end of 1999, of ATELIERS METALLURGIQUES DE SAINT URBAIN (AMSU), a group specializing in the design and manufacture of elastic suspension elements and precision springs, and ALLEVARD SPRINGS Automobile, a group specializing in the design of elastic suspension elements, whose know-how goes back almost a century. Ever since this merger, ALLEVARD REJNA Autosuspensions has been pursuing the strategy of world-wide development previously followed by ALLEVARD SPRINGS Automobile and SOGEFI, AMSU’s shareholder. In pursuit of this policy, the following milestones are worthy of note: At the beginning of 2000, it acquired 100% of LIGGETT ARGENTINA, an Argentinean company specializing in the manufacture of springs and stabilizer bars. At the beginning of 2001, it acquired 100% of the British and Dutch companies UNITED SPRINGS Ltd and UNITED SPRINGS BV both specialists in precision springs. It also acquired 100% of ALLEVARD RENAULT Technologie Froid which changed its name to ALLEVARD REJNA Technologie Froid, a company specializing in the field of coil springs manufactured using the cold process. During 2001, it built a coil spring and stabilizer bar plant in Mogi Mirim (BRAZIL).

We develop continuous quality improvement programmes, so that we can offer our customers the same level of quality throughout the world, under the “Made in ARA” label. We are also involved in a constant search for international certification. All the certifications specific to the automobile industry are already in force in our plants. The objective is to renew the certifications when new, more stringent, standards come into force, in particular TS 16949 certification. Some of our plants already have approval for this certification. We make our customers’ objectives our own and we systematically transmit them to our suppliers. Clear proof of our customers’ confidence in us is to be seen in the quality approvals obtained from all the automobile manufacturers located in Europe and the volume of production-run deliveries on over 70% of the vehicle models manufactured in Europe. We are determined to confirm our position as European leader and to be acknowledged as being among the best in the world. The quality of our products and of our services allow us achieve this objective.
